Orientation for Freshmen
August, 29 to 30 – The orientation program is designed for incoming first-year students at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering. It is a weekend retreat in the Jizera Mountains that offers the chance to get to know one another and build team spirit even before studies begin at the Technical University of Liberec. The program also includes important information about our faculty, the credit system, the information system, and academic requirements. During the event, upperclassmen and alumni share advice and experiences. The program features competitive and sports activities, a meeting with the faculty leadership, leisure time, relaxation, and an evening barbecue.
Formula Student Poland 2026
Our university team from the Technical University of Liberec had a fantastic showing at Formula Student Poland 2026. Competing against race cars in the CV/HY category, they secured 3rd place OVERALL! And the list of achievements certainly doesn’t end there.
Our race car, Božena, was one of only three cars that managed to complete the premier Endurance discipline – a 22 km race testing the car’s speed, reliability, and endurance. And it handled it brilliantly: 2nd place!
The team also succeeded in the Skidpad discipline, which tests a car’s ability to achieve high lateral acceleration and navigate a figure-eight course as quickly as possible. Here, too, Božena secured a spot on the podium: 2nd place!

Huge congratulations to the entire team! Behind this result are hundreds of hours of work, fine-tuning, testing, and determination to get Božena to the starting line – and, most importantly, to the finish line.
