Government Scholarships - Developing Countries

The Government of the Czech Republic offers scholarships within the framework of its Foreign Development Assistance in support of the study of foreign nationals from developing countries at public institutions of higher education in the Czech Republic.

These so-called Government Scholarships are designed to cover the standard length of study in Follow-up Master study programmes or Doctoral study programmes with instruction in the English language.

 

Call for submitting applications for the academic year 2026/2027 is closed!

Call for submitting applications for the academic year 2027/2028 will open in summer 2026 with the application deadline on September 30, 2026 .

 

Government scholarships for the academic year 2026/2027 were offered only to the citizens of the following countries:

• Bosnia and Herzegovina, Georgia, Ukraine, Belarus (democratic forces),
• Ethiopia, Nigeria, Rwanda, Zambia,
• Cambodia, Sri Lanka,
• Guatemala, Jordan.

Each applicant is obliged to fill in an electronic application form at the latest by 30 September!
