Government Scholarships - Developing Countries

The Government of the Czech Republic offers scholarships within the framework of its Foreign Development Assistance in support of the study of foreign nationals from developing countries at public institutions of higher education in the Czech Republic.

These so-called Government Scholarships are designed to cover the standard length of study in Follow-up Master study programmes or Doctoral study programmes with instruction in the English language.

 

Call for applications for the 2027/2028 academic year has been announced.

The deadline for applications is 30 September 2026 .

 

Government scholarships for the academic year 2027/2028 are offered only to the citizens of the following countries:

• Bosnia and Herzegovina, Georgia, Ukraine, Belarus (democratic forces),
• Ethiopia, Gabon, Mauritania, Zambia,
• Bangladesh, Cambodia, Palestine,
• Guatemala, Honduras.

Each applicant is obliged to fill in an electronic application form by 30 September at the latest! 

Access to the application is temporarily available at https://studyin.gov.cz/ within the relevant call under the Scholarships within the Framework of the Foreign Development Cooperation Programme or via the link „Submit an application“ visible after registration on the portal.
