Admission to the Bachelor´s Degree Programme

The Faculty provides bachelor´s degree programme Mechanical Engineering in English language. Study in English is subject to a fee.

 

Tution fee / academic year: 4000 USD

Application fee: 100 USD (online payment)

Assessment of previous education fee: 35 USD (online payment)

Deadline for submitting the application form: March 31, 2026

Eligibility: 

1) Entrance Exam - Mathematics at a level corresponding to the content of the didactic test of the mathematics school-leaving examination in the Czech Republic.

The entrance examination will take place on April 14, 2026 at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, TUL.

The entrance exam will be waived by the dean for applicants who have passed the Mathematics in English test administered as part of the National Comparative Exams (NCE) by Scio with a percentile of at least 50 by April 25, 2026, inclusive. Information about the Mathematics in English test is available on the Scio website (https://www.scioexams.com/mathematics-in-english).

2) Assessment of previous foreign education

3) Fluent English skills at a minimum level of B2 according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR). This condition does not apply to native speakers and graduates of secondary schools or universities who have studied in English. Knowledge of English can be demonstrated by a certificate proving an English language exam such as Cambridge language, TOEIC, IETLS, TOEFL, ESOL, telc English B2, or a state exam in English.
