International Cooperation
Faculty of Mechanical Engineering has long been developing international cooperation both in the field of education and in the field of creative activity.
- Recently, the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering has been actively involved in several projects to support international mobility supported by OP VK, OP VVV, CEEPUS, Erasmus, Cross-border cooperation, etc.
- The Faculty of Engineering cooperates with approximately 70 partner universities within the Erasmus+ program.
- The Faculty of Mechanical Engineering is a member of 4 networks within the CEEPUS program: CIII-RS-0304 Technical Characteristics Researching of Modern Products in Machine Industry (Machine Design, Fluid Technics and Calculations) with the Purpose of Improvement Their Market Characteristics and Better Placement on the Market, CIII-BG-0722 Computer Aided Design of Automated Systems for Assembling, CIII-RO-0013 Teaching and Research of Environment – Oriented Technologies in Manufacturing, CIII-RS-1012 Building Knowledge and Experience Exchange in CFDg is a member of 4 nets within the program CEEPUS: CIII-RS-0304 Technical Characteristics Researching of Modern Products in Machine Industry (Machine Design, Fluid Technics and Calculations) with the Purpose of Improvement Their Market Characteristics and Better Placement on the Market, CIII-BG-0722 Computer Aided Design of Automated Systems for Assembling, CIII-RO-0013 Teaching and Research of Environment – Oriented Technologies in Manufacturing, CIII-RS-1012 Building Knowledge and Experience Exchange in CFDg.
- Faculty of Mechanical Engineering develops long-term contacts with partner universities outside the EU, e.g. with the University of Waterloo, Conestoga College (Canada), Technical University in Baku (Azerbaijan), Afeka College (Israel), King Mongut's University of Technology North Bangkok (Thailand), Nha Trang University, Faculty of Mechanical Engineering (Vietnam), Dnipro University of Technology (Ukraine), etc.
- Faculty of Mechanical Engineering has been actively developing long-term relations with institutions in border regions, especially in the Nisa Euroregion. It develops significant cooperation with Lodz University of Technology.
- Faculty of Mechanical Engineering develops scientific research cooperation within the framework of projects supported by H2020, ERA.NET, EUREKA, R&D of the MoES of Mobility. Involvement in scientific research international challenges is growing.
- Doctoral studies include a mandatory internship abroad, and activities are underway to introduce doctoral studies under dual supervision, the so-called "cotutelle".
- As a part of the internationalization and promotion of FME TUL abroad, emphasis is placed on regular visits to foreign student and university fairs. The goal is to promote the faculty and the university to strengthen international cooperation and to promote the study offer for foreign students interested in studying at FME TUL. Examples of successful participation in international fairs: Begin Edu Fair - Moscow, Yekaterinburg, St. Petersburg (2019), EHEF 2018 - European Higher Education Fair in the Philippines (2018), Begin Edu Fair - Baku, Tbilisi (2018), EAIE Fair 2017, Seville, Spain (2017), Facon Education Fair, Kuala Lumpur (2017), EAIE 2016 Liverpool and EHEF 2016 New Delhi (2016) and Study Abroad Fair Fall 2016 South Korea (2016).
