Day of Women and Girls in Science
February, 11 Dean of the Faculty of Engineering Jaromír Moravec presented flowers to female colleagues. The International Day of Women and Girls in Science is traditionally seen as an opportunity to promote gender equality in the scientific environment. "Female colleagues at our faculty have had a number of successes, and it is not at all easy to stand in the daily struggle to combine scientific academic work and family care. We will express our appreciation to our colleagues for the contribution of women to the scientific and academic life of the faculty, and it is also an opportunity to share experiences with each other, discuss obstacles and opportunities. I think this meeting is not just a formal gesture, but can have a concrete impact on greater support for women scientists and hopefully an overall positive atmosphere at the Faculty," says Dean Jaromír Moravec.
